...aber ich hör da was von tom pettys "don't come around here no more" raus. ach ja, und "love of the common people" (paul young) hör ich da ebenfalls ;-) mag ja nur einbildung sein. Last edited: 28.03.2011 10:07
*** @DaJoe: keine einbildung, hab nur den 30 sec soundfile gehört und sofort fiel mir "love of the common people " ein *g* das macht das liedchen auch nicht besser, unspektakuläres radiofutter, dass so dahinplätschert....langweilig...
****** 6++++++++++++++++++++/6 This song deserves to be remembered forever. I think you'd have to go back to like the 90s for the last time a song was this much of a breath-taker. This is what music is about. It completely eclipses the first half of 2011 musically with its raw sound and lyrical meaning. L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. it sure does and i don't mind labouring to type out the title, coz it's just that good
"For me, the vibe of the song was such a throwback to light-rock from the 70s (obviously 'Lola' comes to mind), mixed with the sound of the modern indie scene. The big seller here is the lyrics, they tell these great stories and are so articulate in doing so. This also has to be the song with the most annoying title to type out on here regularly
The song just really hits me emotionally, there's something about it... it finds this bizarre midground between being really depressing, but having a cheeky 'we'll be okay though' optimism. I can see this being a song that you'd play at someones 60th b'day or at a funeral... did anyone watch that show Married-Single-Other? I can totally imagine this being played at an event like the one in the 5th episode where they knew she was going to die."
*** "The major thread of this album is change. There's a lot of stories about people making a change in their life, which is obviously a liberating fun thing to write about." Charlie Fink: NOAH AND THE WHALE
Really tried getting into this track but seriously haven't we got enough rappers already tryin to teach us to spell? Silly chorus!
